First Huddersfield & Calderdale 590-594. Every 10 mins Halifax to Hebden Bridge then hourly to Rochdale (590) Burnley (592) Old Town (593) Heptonstall (591) & half hourly to Todmorden (594). Superb Pennine scenery from a double decker.

Ever encountered a turn so sharp that the bus has to go past it, go round a turning circle then approach it from the other direction? Well you can do that on the 591, closely followed by a hill of about 1 in 5!   Highly recommended.

Those in search of a REAL adventure should sample the 517 from Halifax to Burnley. It only runs twice, on Saturday afternoons only. It follows the 591 to the dark and mysterious Heptonstall then continues across lonely moors to Burnley. The route and timetable hasn't altered for decades (for ever?).
