Hot News (Whisper) BAD NEWS

Postby PhilipInCoventry » Fri Jul 16, 2010 6:08 am

My very reliable friend has informed me that the intended cuts to the free bus pass are --:

1 Those that already have a pass will keep it.

2 Those that do not have a pass will only receive one when they reach the age of 65.

I do not know the implementation dates for this, but I am told that it will be very soon. Even for those, of us with our pass its looking bleak, as area funding cuts will reduce bus services generally as already mentioned on here. We will all have to pump our bike tyres up.

Sorry to bring this whisper
Philip.

Hi Phillip

Looks certain that some changes are in the pipeline. Just pumped up our bike tyres just in case. :saidso:

The 65 thing is already in effect as the qualifying age is gradually being upped to 65 in phases
